Good design is just good business. I know I’m preaching to the choir but more and more examples of companies focusing on design succeeding and beating out competition are becoming recognized in the mainstream. The interesting thing is that in most companies “design” is the largest expense that no one person “owns”.

e-consultancy’s report Online Retail User Experience Benchmarks found that etailers could give a massive boost to sales overnight if only people could find the products they were after. The problem is so bad the study found that half of all products sought were not found by simple keyword searches.”
