Haig Bedrossian, the creative director behind ploom.com has started a new blog on the topic of branding, a brand design forum if you will. It is an example of topical blog that focuses on discipline and critique, that makes it a valuable read.
A somewhat tangetial topic is whether we should even be calling these industry/discipline focused forums “blogs.” Blogs still bring to mind the confesional ramblings of diarists. I wonder if we were to look at the equity and associations in the “blog” we would still refer to them as such.
I visited ploom.com today after reading this post. It has been nearly 10 minutes since I closed the browser and my head still hurts. I am very interested in topics listed, specifically semiotics. However, I’ll be damned if I can figure out how to navigate this site for any information.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
i am sorry to hear you had problems navigating the site.
do you see a list of names in the right? moving your mouse up or down - this moves the list, click on a name and view a brief. does this help?
or are you just annoyed with the hand/eye coordination that is required?
regards,
haig
