Because I judge both of those statements are true. They reflect a deep understanding of myspace, anyway. And I think the whole Year Zero online thing established that Reznor gets the internet too.
Not sarcastic at all, totally serious with a touch of irony, probably would have been clearer with my English accent. I think NIN’s statements just show they have lived in myspace for a while and understand how it works. Totally agree that the ARG they did for year zero is another excellent example of their social media savvyness (I blogged about it here).
