Users Improving Products – Attaching an external mic to Nokia N95

by Karl on July 8, 2008

I’ve often wondered how to add an external mic to my N95, as i think it would make a killer podcast recording device. Anyway, looks like someone figured it out and put an instructional video on Qik.

I had a blog post brainstorm a while ago on what a “social media phone” would look like, check it out and feel free to continue adding ideas.

Glad you liked the video! Just to be up front, I work for Qik (though I was an enthusiastic user before I joined – I loved it so much, I wanted to play with it all day…cheesy but true!). The original tips came from our users Shelby Highsmith and Mobile Jones, so many thanks to them.

Karl, you know you can always use a BT headset as a remote mic? Right? That’s the way i am filming some of the exec’s. Using the BT headset as a lapel mic so that they can still move around.
