Just heard via twitter that Castro is dead, not only that but Perez Hilton, famed hollywood gossip blogger broke the story. This may be a seminal moment in blogging/social media history.

Is anyone else reporting this? If PH did scoop MSM, I think this might be bigger than Tech Crunch breaking GooTube, given the amount of time that’s passed since PH first reported this.

Drudge has anyone beat on the whole being first on the internet thing. What was once considered a joke by mainstream media is now widely quoted and sought out first for breaking info. If it’s on Drudge, it must be true.
And seeing that Drudge is in Miami, I’d think he’d be on top of this story.
If Hilton keeps repeating this scoop often enough, eventually, it’ll be true.
