Ben, The 8 Year Old Real Guitar Hero -
There’s been lots of talk on the interwebs about Ben, the 8 year old who totally nailed a Guitar Hero song on hard mode without missing a note. Jeremy at Livedigitally suggested that the game developer should hire Ben to use him in their marketing campaigns, which I totally agree with, except he’s already marketing them. His “perfect song” video has been watched close to 250,000 times.
Even more interesting, if you calculate the number of views for the 20 related guitar hero videos that youtube places beside this video you get a total of: 6,376,714. So that’s 6 Million plus views of user generated videos of Guitar Hero, wow. Very exciting, but I guess not every game can be as fun to video as Guitar Hero

The Video is Faked. I’m sure the kid is good, but he hits some of the Hammer on / Hammer off’s wrong. and there are a couple of places where his fingers don’t match quite what is on the screen. Likely He played the game looking at the screen VCR’d it and then Played it back while playing along to make it look better than he is.
There performance mode Code is how one would prove this.

this kid is legit believe it or not, i didn’t want to believe it either b/c his psycho billy vid is so ridiculous, but you can’t deny it after watching most of his vids, and seeing his name in so many different places on the web….if you search for him you will see that he is legit, he has a sponsorship from some company in colorado b/c he won a GH tourney
the craziest thing for me is how he uses different fingers for different buttons and he says “i don’t put my fingers on the buttons, i just do what i need to do to finish the song”, really mind boggling how he does it, that’s what makes him look like he’s faking it
